How much does restaurant and café photography cost in London?

A photo shoot at your café, restaurant or bar starts from £250. That is for an on-location shoot of up to two hours, with 20 to 25 edited photos delivered in 5 days. Below is what each shoot includes, what moves the price, and how I would choose. Prices are the same for every client and I do not offer discounts.

What changes the price

Five things decide which shoot you need, and so what it costs:

  • How long I am there. Two hours, half a day or a full day.
  • How many places I shoot. One location, up to two, or up to four locations or scene set-ups.
  • How many edited photos you get. 20 to 25, 40 to 50, or 80 to 100.
  • How fast you need them. Five days as standard, or three days with priority turnaround on the full day.
  • What you will use them for. Usage rights for digital and social platforms are part of the half-day shoot, and print-ready files come with the full-day shoot.

Which shoot suits your venue

  • A first shoot, or fresh pictures for your menu, website and Google listing: Essential.
  • A new venue, or when you want the food, drinks, people and room all covered: the half day.
  • Several areas, or a seasonal push with a content calendar: the full day.

Not sure? Tell me about your venue and I will say which I would choose.

What I photograph

I shoot on location at your venue: the dishes, the pour, the people behind the counter and the feel of the room at the time of day you want to be known for. Everything is edited and delivered ready for your website, your Google Business Profile, menus and social channels.

I run one café’s social media, photography and videography. On its new Instagram profile it went from 0 to 560 followers in under 14 days and reached 70k views in its first week, with minimal ad spend. That is one café’s result, not a promise of what any venue will see. See the work for cafés.

How to compare quotes

Whoever you hire, ask the same questions so the prices can be compared fairly. Here is what each one means for my shoots.

  • How long will you be at my venue? Up to 2 hours (Essential), up to 4 hours (half day) or up to 8 hours (full day).
  • How many edited photos do I get? 20 to 25, 40 to 50, or 80 to 100.
  • How many places or set-ups are covered? One location, up to two, or up to four.
  • How soon do I get them? Five days as standard. The full day has priority turnaround, in three days.
  • What can I use the photos for? Usage rights for digital and social platforms are listed with the half-day shoot, and print-ready files come with the full day. Ask any photographer to put usage in writing.
  • What costs extra? Video is priced separately: reels start from £395.
